This tax-funded generosity came as news to me last week, and all because three members of Congress teamed up to make it public. I bet you didnt know that taxpayers often foot the bill for the legal fees when major activist organizations successfully bring lawsuits against the federal government.

Two competing amendments on the issue have lately been floated. The idea was hatched by the Financial Planning Coalition, a group comprised of the Financial Planning Association, NAPFA (the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors) and the Certified Planner Board of Standards, which monitors the CFP standard.

The EPAs plans would devastate South Dakota as well as every other state in the nation. The huge tax increases would harm already struggling families in South Dakota, not to mention the enormous number of jobs, nearly 8,800 in South Dakota, that would be lost if the EPA continues down this road.
